Lily is 5!

Last year, Grandma and Papa Money came to visit in late July. They were in a lot of trouble with the newly 4 year old Lily for being late for her birthday and she reminded them frequently throughout the whole next year to be on time for her 5th birthday. Were they on time? They were even early! We had a great 10 days to play with Grandma and Papa Money. We spent one really fun day at the Enchanted Forest. The log ride was by far everyone's favorite. Josiah and I went down with the girls the first time and got drenched, and then Josiah and Papa Money went with them one more time before we went home.

We packed a picnic lunch and all the girls were quite fashionable in their shades.

On the big day, Lily was dressed up as Fancy Nancy. For those of you who don't know who she is, the character is out of a series of books we just recently discovered. Nancy is always dressed up and very "fancy" and uses a lot of french words because they are, of course, fancy. Grandma curled Lily's hair, and Ama Theresa bought her the fancy dress and tiara. She had a permanent grin all day! Besides cake, the only thing she asked for at her party was fruit. So we had fruit galore. Her favorite gift turned out to be a bug vacuum and bug habitat. We have collected and studied many specimens. I just have to keep reminding her that the bugs live outside!
